Started the group synopsis detailing character profiles and settings. Character profiles included, name, age and why they do what they do during the film. Possible settings were discussed. We then started on the narrative breakdown discussing the five key plot points which are beginning, disruption, acknowledgement of the issue, quest and ending.

Finishing the synopsis and the narrative breakdown and working more on the locations for shooting and the reality of the locations working for what we want. Finishing off the story and getting ready to do the shot list next lesson.

We watched film trailers throughout the lesson to then give us more of an understanding to what to do with the film trailer. We also thought about the potential scenes for the trailer and where to film them.

We finished off our shot lists, typed them up and uploaded the typed up final draft, and the scanned in original draft to our blogs. We then started working on how our research has impacted our film and trailer, typed that up and put it on our blogs.

Today we made sure that we had all relevant documents and research on all of our blogs in chronological order, e.g. shot list, trailer analysis, how research impacted our trailer, group PP about our plot and individual plot ideas. Once we all had them on our blogs, we worked on the questionnaire to make sure the questions were relevant and gave us information we needed. We will give the link out to our friends/family so we get some responses.

Today we started thinking about our storyboards. We recapped the shot types and learned about how to draw moving pictures with the correct arrows. This will help us when we come to drawing our own storyboards.

After creating our questionnaire, we gathered the responses from a variety of people. Today we have analysed the results and created bar charts and pie charts in order to understand what people want to see from our horror trailer. We also wrote a summary for each question.

Started working on the location releases and the talent releases, finalising our locations for filming we now have a clear idea on how to progress with filming when we come to it.
